Your comments on the n900 bugs are right on. For n900 owners, the only options for getting over the limitations in the phone are the Meego and Android ports. Neither are officially supported by Nokia, so the n900 becomes a community supported device in effect. For me, the n900 has become a frustrating device and I am currently looking for a replacement, most likely an Android-based phone. I may give Android on the n900 a try, but the resistive touch screen is something I can live without.

hi,
yes n900 is a mobile computer bt with a lot of bugs .. multitasking is possible but answering a call may struck us up for a while we cant answer a call so easily when working with other tasks even i am waiting for a software update. ovi maps i have to wait for long to load a prticular location .. right click option s missing in many areas where i need it.. no contacts management i dont know how to differentiate btwn my sim n phone contacts,no specific ringtones, physical keyboard is good but what is the use of arrow keys ... we cant use touch alone for ful access like there is no select all option in virtual keyboard we have to use physical keyboard for ds .. really nokia have to fix d existing bugs as soon as possible and surely say tat this s the best smartphone/internet tablet up to te

Hi Markku,

I think Ovi Maps is potentially good on the N900, but I found the current version to be to frustrating to use. Why the frustration? Responsiveness was the big problem, leaving me at times to think the Maps app had locked up, only to resume functioning after some variable time period. I did try planning some routes, and tested the apps ability to track my position from a moving train, but found it could not compare with the same tasks performed using Google Maps on the N85. Perhaps the next release can improve performance.
